Srushti Dehmukh began preparing for UPSC when she was in her third year of her engineering degree. After her graduation she was unsure if she was able to be satisfied working in an engineering position. Then she realized that her dream job was in civil service and decided to pursue this. Her parents urged her to pursue civil work and to find an opportunity to serve the people. Her motivation was to be an IAS officer and was focused on that goal. The work required to become an IAS officer takes much more. When she was preparing in engineering and other classes, she also used to work on different subjects for UPSC. The exam preparation took up time every single day. In less than one month and a half it was time to prepare for her engineering exam and completely avoided all social media. She is convinced that focus is the most important factor to succeed in the exam of government and becoming an official in the civil service. She set out to make it through the exam quickly, so she did a lot of work. Each day, she was reading the newspaper to keep abreast of the latest news. In addition, she had plenty of online support by gathering studying materials as well as watching Rajya Sabha TV.
